iGlyko Company

iGlyko, a Delaware corporation formed in January 2008, is the result of a collaboration of studies conducted by clinicians, scientists and engineers from the University of Kentucky and the University of California, Irvine, combining years of expertise in biochemistry, biomedical engineering, diabetes research and clinical diabetes.

The Company has exclusively licensed a patent protected glucose recognition polypeptide (GRP). GRP is the cornerstone of iGlyko’s product: a hospital-based, continuos, blood-glucose monitoring system. GRP was developed over a ten year period by Dr. Sylvia Daunert, the Gill Eminent Professor of Analytical and Biological Chemistry at the University of Kentucky.

iGlyko has procured initial funding to support work on its technology. It is a prime objective of iGlyko’s management team to, within the next 12 months, raise additional funding to complete a significant portion of the feasibility stage of overall product development.
